Revelation 1
John, exiled on Patmos, receives a vision of the glorified Jesus. Christ appears not as suffering servant — but reigning King. He stands among seven lampstands (the churches). He holds seven stars in His right hand.
Revelation 2
Jesus addresses four churches: Ephesus – Strong in doctrine, weak in love.Smyrna – Faithful under persecution.Pergamum – Faithful but tolerating compromise.Thyatira – Loving and active, yet tolerating false teaching.
Revelation 3
Jesus addresses three churches: Sardis – Spiritually dead despite reputation.Philadelphia – Weak but faithful and obedient.Laodicea – Lukewarm, self-sufficient, spiritually blind.
Revelation 4
John is invited into heaven. He sees: • A throne with One seated upon it • Radiant glory like precious stones • Lightning and thunder from the throne • Seven lamps (Spirit imagery) • A crystal sea • Twenty-four elders • Four living creatures • Unceasing worship
Revelation 5
• A scroll sealed with seven seals appears. • No one is found worthy to open it. • John weeps. • The Lion of Judah is announced. • A slain Lamb appears instead. • The Lamb takes the scroll. • Heaven erupts in worship.
Revelation 6
The Lamb opens six of the seven seals: 1️⃣ White horse — conquest 2️⃣ Red horse — war 3️⃣ Black horse — famine 4️⃣ Pale horse — death 5️⃣ Martyrs crying for justice 6️⃣ Cosmic disturbance and terror This is the beginning of escalating judgment.
Revelation 7
Revelation 7 pauses the seal judgments. Two visions unfold: 1️⃣ 144,000 sealed from the tribes of Israel 2️⃣ A great multitude from every nation worshiping before the throne They are: • Sealed for protection • Washed in the Lamb’s blood • Victorious through tribulation
Revelation 8
• The seventh seal is opened. • Heaven is silent for about half an hour. • Prayers of the saints rise before God. • Fire from the altar is thrown to earth. • The first four trumpets sound.
Revelation 9
Two trumpets (5th and 6th) sound: Fifth Trumpet • Star falls from heaven (given key) • Abyss opened • Smoke rises • Demonic locust-like creatures torment for five months • They harm only those without God’s seal • Their king is Abaddon/Apollyon
Revelation 10
What Happens • A mighty angel descends clothed in cloud, rainbow above his head. • He stands with authority over sea and land. • Seven thunders speak, but John is told not to write them. • The angel declares there will be no more delay. • The mystery of God will be fulfilled at the seventh trumpet. • John eats the little scroll — sweet in mouth, bitter in stomach. • He is told to prophesy again.
Revelation 11
1️⃣ The temple is measured (symbol of preservation) 2️⃣ Two witnesses prophesy for 1,260 days (3½ years) 3️⃣ They perform signs (fire, drought, plagues) 4️⃣ The beast kills them 5️⃣ Their bodies lie exposed for 3½ days 6️⃣ God resurrects them 7️⃣ Earthquake follows 8️⃣ Seventh trumpet sounds 9️⃣ Heaven declares Christ’s Kingdom
Revelation 12
Three major figures appear: The WomanClothed with the sun, moon under feet, twelve stars. The ChildBorn to rule the nations — caught up to God. The DragonSatan, seeking to destroy the child.
Revelation 13
Two beasts appear. Beast from the Sea • Seven heads, ten horns • Receives authority from the dragon (Satan) • Blasphemes God • Rules for 42 months• Makes war against the saints • The world worships it
Revelation 14
Four major scenes appear: 1️⃣ The Lamb on Mount ZionThe 144,000 stand with Him, sealed with God’s name. 2️⃣ Three Angelic Messages
Revelation 15
John sees: 1️⃣ Seven angels holding the final plagues 2️⃣ A sea of glass mixed with fire 3️⃣ Victorious saints standing beside it 4️⃣ The Song of Moses and the Lamb5️⃣ The heavenly temple opened 6️⃣ Seven bowls of wrath given to the angels 7️⃣ God’s glory filling the temple No one can enter the temple until the judgments are completed.
Revelation 16
Seven bowls are poured out: 1️⃣ Painful sores on those with the beast’s mark 2️⃣ Sea becomes blood — every creature dies 3️⃣ Rivers and springs become blood 4️⃣ Sun scorches humanity 5️⃣ Darkness covers the beast’s kingdom 6️⃣ Euphrates dries up — kings gather for Armageddon 7️⃣ Final earthquake and destruction of Babylon
Revelation 17
John is shown a vision of: • A woman called Babylon the Great• Sitting on a scarlet beast • Dressed in luxury and wealth • Drunk with the blood of the saints The beast has: • Seven heads • Ten horns
Revelation 18
An angel announces: “Babylon the Great has fallen.” Babylon is described as: • A center of wealth and commerce • A corrupt influence over nations • Responsible for persecuting believers
Revelation 19
Revelation 19 unfolds in three major scenes: 1️⃣ Heaven’s Hallelujah A great multitude praises God for judging Babylon. 2️⃣ The Marriage Supper of the Lamb The church is pictured as the bride of Christ, prepared and clothed in righteousness.
Revelation 20
Revelation 20 unfolds in four stages: 1️⃣ Satan Bound An angel binds Satan for 1,000 years, preventing deception of the nations. 2️⃣ The Millennium Those faithful to Christ reign with Him.
Revelation 21
John sees: 1️⃣ A new heaven and new earthThe old creation has passed away. 2️⃣ The New JerusalemA holy city descending from heaven like a bride. 3️⃣ God dwelling with humanityNo separation remains between God and His people.
Revelation 22
Revelation 22 completes the vision of the new creation. John sees: 1️⃣ The River of LifeFlowing from God’s throne. 2️⃣ The Tree of Life restoredBearing fruit each month, healing the nations.
