An angel announces:
“Babylon the Great has fallen.”
Babylon is described as: • A center of wealth and commerce • A corrupt influence over nations • Responsible for persecuting believers
Three groups mourn Babylon’s fall: 1️⃣ Kings of the earth 2️⃣ Merchants 3️⃣ Ship captains and traders
They grieve because their wealth and power disappear.
Meanwhile, heaven rejoices.
Babylon represents a corrupt world economic and cultural system built on:
Its fall shows that systems built on injustice eventually collapse.
The command “Come out of her, My people” warns believers not to align with corrupt power.
Revelation 18 teaches:
The world’s greatest empires are temporary.
God’s kingdom is not.
Revelation 18 reveals Christ as:
Babylon falls. The Lamb reigns.
🎵 Revelation 18 — “Babylon Has Fallen”
(Majestic Pines — Hybrid | Songer Safe)
Verse 1
A mighty angel filled the sky,
Glory shining far and wide.
He cried aloud with thunder’s call:
“Babylon the great will fall!”
Once a throne of wealth and pride,
Now a haunt where demons hide.
Every nation drank her wine,
Blind beneath her grand design.
Pre-Chorus
Kings grew rich beneath her name,
Merchants thrived within her fame.
Chorus
Babylon has fallen down,
Dust now crowns her golden crown.
In one hour her glory fades,
All her riches swept away.
Verse 2
Ships once filled with silver trade,
Silk and spice and jewels displayed.
All the markets of her gain
Stand in silence over pain.
Merchants watch from distant shore,
Weeping what will be no more.
“Who could match her power before?”
Now her music sounds no more.
Chorus
Babylon has fallen fast,
Every kingdom built on glass.
In one hour wealth is gone —
Justice finally marches on.
Bridge
“Come out, My people,” heaven cried,
“Do not share the sins of pride.
Her corruption reached the sky —
Now her judgment draws nigh.”
Like a millstone cast below,
Babylon will sink in woe.
Final Chorus
Heaven sings while earth laments,
Truth now breaks the world’s pretense.
For the blood of saints once slain
Calls for justice not in vain.
Outro
The city falls.
The Lamb remains.
His kingdom stands
Beyond the flames.
