This chapter shows:
The scroll likely represents: God’s revealed message of judgment and redemption.
Sweet — because it is truth. Bitter — because judgment is painful.
Revelation 10 reminds us:
The church is not removed from the story. It is commissioned within it.
Though the angel is central visually, the authority comes from Christ.
He is:
The Word became flesh — and now the Word is proclaimed again.
Revelation 10 — “Sweet in My Mouth”
(Majestic Pines — Hybrid | Songer Safe)
Verse 1
Another angel clothed in cloud,
A rainbow crowned his face so proud.
His face like sun, his legs like flame,
He stood on sea and land the same.
A little scroll within his hand,
Right foot on sea, left foot on land.
He cried aloud like lion’s roar,
And seven thunders answered back.
Pre-Chorus
But what they spoke was sealed from man,
A mystery held in sovereign hand.
Chorus
No more delay — the time is near,
The mystery of God made clear.
The kingdoms rise, the kingdoms fall,
But Christ will reign above them all.
Verse 2
He swore by Him who lives always,
Creator of eternal days:
“There shall be no more delay —
The seventh trumpet brings the way.”
The mystery long foretold before,
Proclaimed by prophets evermore.
Chorus
No more delay — heaven declares,
History bends to answered prayers.
What God has spoken will be done,
The age fulfilled, the victory won.

“Take the scroll and eat,” he said,
Sweet as honey, yet dread.
In my mouth it tasted bright,
In my stomach bittered night.
To speak His Word is joy and pain,
Prophetic fire, refining flame.
Final Chorus
No more delay — speak what you see,
Prophesy again to land and sea.
Nations, peoples, tongues and kings —
The scroll unfolds what heaven brings.
Outro
Sweet and bitter, truth proclaimed —
The Lion’s Word cannot be chained.
