Three major figures appear:
The WomanClothed with the sun, moon under feet, twelve stars.
The ChildBorn to rule the nations — caught up to God.
The DragonSatan, seeking to destroy the child.
Events unfold: 1️⃣ The child is born (Christ imagery) 2️⃣ The dragon attempts destruction 3️⃣ The child is taken to God’s throne 4️⃣ War erupts in heaven 5️⃣ Satan is cast down to earth 6️⃣ The dragon persecutes the woman and her offspring
The chapter summarizes the spiritual conflict behind history.
The woman likely represents God’s covenant people(Israel → through whom Messiah came).
The child clearly represents Jesus(“rule the nations with a rod of iron” – Psalm 2).
The dragon is explicitly identified as: Satan.
The war in heaven reveals: Satan is defeated but still active.
Revelation 12 teaches:
The dragon fights hardest when his time is short.
Revelation 12 reveals Christ as:
The cross defeated the accuser.
The resurrection sealed his fall.
🎵 Revelation 12 — “The Dragon Cast Down”
(Majestic Pines — Hybrid | Songer Safe)
Verse 1
A sign appeared across the sky,
A woman clothed with blazing light.
The moon beneath her steady feet,
Twelve stars crowned her destiny.
She cried in pain to bring to birth,
A child whose rule would shake the earth.
But watching close with crimson eyes,
A dragon waited in disguise.
Pre-Chorus
Seven heads and ten horns rise,
Stars fall down from poisoned skies.
Chorus
But the child was caught to heaven’s throne,
Where God alone is known.
The dragon raged, his fury poured —
But heaven stood with sword.
Verse 2
War broke out in heaven’s height,
Michael rose with angel might.
The dragon fought with desperate flame,
But lost his throne and lost his claim.
Cast down to earth, the ancient snake,
The devil filled with wrath and hate.
Deceiver of the world below,
Now raging where the faithful go.
Chorus
Now salvation, power, and reign
Belong to Christ again!
The accuser thrown from heaven’s gate,
His judgment sealed by fate.
Bridge
They overcame by Lamb’s own blood,
And by the truth they boldly spoke.
They loved not life even to death —
Faith stronger than their breath.
Rejoice, O heavens, lift your cry!
But earth beware — the dragon flies.
Final Chorus
The serpent strikes with final rage,
Knowing short his earthly stage.
Yet those who hold the Savior’s Word
Stand firm beneath the Lord.
Outro
The dragon hunts — the church stands strong.
The Lamb has won.
The war goes on.
