John is shown a vision of:
The beast has: • Seven heads • Ten horns
The angel explains the symbolism: • Seven heads represent kings or kingdoms • Ten horns represent future rulers
Eventually, these same powers turn against Babylon and destroy her.
Babylon represents a corrupt world system built on:
The woman symbolizes seductive influence — a system that draws nations away from God.
The beast represents political power supporting that system.
But the alliance is temporary.
God ultimately turns these powers against Babylon itself.
Revelation 17 teaches:
The warning is clear:
Do not be seduced by Babylon.
Revelation 17 reminds us that Christ is:
The Lamb who was slain is stronger than every empire.
🎵 Revelation 17 — “The Woman on the Beast”
(Majestic Pines — Hybrid | Songer Safe)
Verse 1
An angel called from heaven’s side,
“Come see the judgment of the bride
Who sits upon the waters wide,
Where kings and nations compromise.”
She held a cup of golden shine,
Filled with poison, dark design.
The earth grew drunk on what she poured,
Forsaking truth, denying the Lord.
Pre-Chorus
Purple robes and scarlet flame,
Blasphemies upon the beast she claimed.
Chorus
Babylon, the great deceiver,
Mother of corruption’s fever.
Nations bowed beneath her wine,
Blind to truth, seduced by time.
Verse 2
The beast she rode once seemed to rise,
From depths of chaos and disguise.
Seven heads and ten horns stood,
Power rising from the flood.
The woman drunk on saints’ own blood,
Martyrs fallen in the flood.
John looked on in startled fear,
Till angel words made vision clear.
Chorus
Babylon, the fallen throne,
Built on power not her own.
Kings of earth will turn one day —
Tear her crown and burn her away.
Bridge
Seven hills and seven kings stand,
Empires rising, shifting sand.
Ten more rulers yet to reign,
Short-lived power, fleeting gain.
They make their war against the Lamb,
But victory rests in wounded hands.
Final Chorus
Lord of lords and King of kings,
Faithful ones the victory bring.
For the Lamb will stand above —
Truth will conquer lies and blood.
Outro
The woman falls.
The beast will fade.
But Christ will rule
The world He made.
