What’s Happening
Paul closes by reminding believers to live peaceably and respectfully in society. He contrasts their former sinful condition with the mercy of God that saved them — not through works, but through regeneration by the Holy Spirit. He emphasizes devotion to good works and warns against divisiveness.

“He saved us — not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His mercy…”
This is one of the clearest statements of salvation by grace in the New Testament.
Jesus is: • God our Savior • The channel through whom the Spirit is poured out • The justifier • The One who makes us heirs • The returning Lord
Salvation begins in mercy and ends in hope.
Titus 3
Verse 1
Remind them gently how to live,
Be subject, ready still to give.
Speak no slander, avoid the fight,
Be courteous in truth and light.
For once we too were lost in night,
Foolish hearts without His sight.
Enslaved to passions, blind and cold,
Hating others, prideful, bold.
Pre-Chorus
But mercy moved where judgment stood,
Kindness came where none was good.
Chorus
When the goodness and love appeared,
Of God our Savior drawing near,
He saved us — not by works we’ve done,
But by His mercy through the Son.
Washed and made new, reborn within,
Renewed by Spirit cleansing sin.
Justified by grace alone —
Heirs of hope before His throne.
Verse 2
Poured out richly from above,
Through Jesus Christ in covenant love.
So now devote to works that bless,
Let faith be seen in righteousness.
Avoid the quarrels, foolish strife,
They profit not eternal life.
Warn divisive hearts once or twice,
Then step away from stubborn vice.
Bridge
These words are faithful, firm, and true —
Grace creates what law could not do.
A people shaped by mercy’s flame,
Living to magnify His name.
Final Chorus
Saved by mercy, walking free,
Anchored in eternity.
Good works flow from grateful heart,
Not to earn, but set apart.
Till Christ returns in glory shown —
We live as heirs of grace alone.
