Philippians 2 — The Mind of Christ
📖 Song Lyrics
If there’s any comfort in His love,
Any mercy from above,
Any fellowship of grace —
Let one heart beat in one embrace.
Do nothing born of selfish pride,
Let empty glory step aside.
In humility count others first,
For pride divides, but love reverses curse.
Pre-Chorus
Let this mind be found in you —
The mind of Christ so pure and true.
Chorus
Though He was in very form God,
He did not cling to heaven’s throne.
He emptied Himself in servant’s form,
Came down to make our broken whole.
Humbled to death upon a cross —
Love poured out through sacred loss.
Therefore God has raised Him high —
Every knee will bow, every tongue will cry.
He took on flesh and walked our dust,
Obedient, faithful, pure, and just.
From manger low to Calv’ry’s tree,
He bore the weight for you and me.
No crown of gold upon His head,
But thorns and shame and crimson red.
He chose the path the Father willed —
And every prophecy fulfilled.
Verse
So work it out with trembling heart,
For God Himself is every part —
Working in you will and deed,
Strength to obey, power to heed.
Shine as lights in darkest place,
Hold fast the word of saving grace.
Though poured like drink upon the ground,
In Christ alone true joy is found.
Timothy’s faith, sincere and tried,
Epaphroditus nearly died.
Yet service marked their faithful days —
Living proof of humble ways.
Bridge — Exaltation
Highly exalted, Name above name,
All creation will proclaim:
Jesus Christ is Lord of all —
Heaven, earth, at His feet fall.
To the glory of God the Father —
Forever lifted higher.
Final Chorus
Let this mind be formed in me —
A heart that bows in humility.
From lowest place to highest throne,
The path of Christ is love alone.
And when I kneel before His name,
I’ll worship Him who bore my shame.
