The priests and Levites who returned with Zerubbabel are honored, and two great choirs are appointed to lead the wall-dedication ceremony. Nehemiah organizes thanksgiving processions that circle Jerusalem in opposite directions, meeting at the temple for a massive celebration. Joy, music, sacrifice, and praise fill the city. The people also appoint faithful men to oversee tithes and offerings.
Christ-Foreshadowing: The joyful dedication of the wall points to Christ, who establishes and protects the spiritual walls of His Church and leads His people in eternal praise.
