Judges 19 recounts one of the darkest events in Scripture. A Levite reconciles with his concubine and travels home through Gibeah in Benjamin. No one offers hospitality except an elderly man. During the night, wicked men surround the house, committing an unspeakable act that leads to the woman’s death. The Levite returns home in shock and sends word throughout Israel to expose the seriousness of the nation’s depravity. The chapter reveals how far Israel has fallen without godly leadership.
