Near the end of his life, Joshua exhorts Israel’s leaders to remain faithful, to obey the Law, and to avoid intermarriage with remaining nations lest they become snares and thorns. Joshua emphasizes God’s unbroken faithfulness and warns that disobedience will bring covenant judgment. The chapter stresses perseverance and holy separation. It foreshadows Christ calling His people to steadfast devotion.
