Manasseh’s borders are laid out, including inheritance for the daughters of Zelophehad as commanded by Moses—showing God’s justice. The tribe complains their land is too small and hard to conquer because the Canaanites possess iron chariots. Joshua urges them to claim the forested hill country and trust God’s strength. This chapter shows that receiving God’s promises often requires perseverance. It foreshadows Christ empowering believers to overcome spiritual strongholds.
