Job describes life as hard, short, and full of suffering. His nights are sleepless, his flesh is broken, and his days feel meaningless. He speaks directly to God, questioning why he is being targeted and asking why God pays such close attention to mankind. Job’s honesty shows his relationship with God is still intact—he is speaking to God, not abandoning Him. He feels like a burden to God, yet still engages Him. This chapter teaches believers that lament is a valid form of prayer. Job’s pain reveals a heart that refuses to let go of God, even when he cannot understand His actions
