The Servant speaks, describing His calling from the womb and His mission to restore Israel and bring light to the nations. Though His work appears unsuccessful at first, God affirms that His mission will succeed far beyond Israel alone. God promises restoration, compassion, and global salvation.
Zion’s fear of abandonment is met with God’s assurance of unfailing love. God declares that He has not forgotten His people and will redeem them with power.
Christ fulfills the role of the Servant, bringing salvation not only to Israel but to the ends of the earth. His apparent rejection does not nullify God’s purpose but magnifies it.
Isaiah 49 — “A Light for the Nations” (COMBINED CORE-MESSAGE STYLE)
🎯 Core Message: God’s Servant is called from the womb to restore Israel and bring salvation to the ends of the earth; God has not forgotten His people.
Song Lyrics (Clear + Expansive)
Verse 1
Listen, O coastlands, hear My call,
From distant shores I summon all.
Before My birth, before first breath,
The Lord named Me, outpaced my death.
A sharpened sword, yet hidden still,
An arrow kept for God’s own will.
He said, “You are My servant true,
Through You My glory comes in view.”
Chorus
Though I felt spent, though labor seemed in vain,
My right is with the Lord, my hope remains.
What God has spoken He will do—
His purpose stands, His word is true.
Verse 2
Now hear the word the Lord has said:
“It’s not too small what lies ahead.
To raise up Jacob, bring him home,
Restore the tribes once overthrown.
I’ll make You light for nations wide,
My saving truth can’t stay inside.
To earth’s far ends it now must run—
Salvation shared with everyone.”
Chorus
Though I felt spent, though labor seemed in vain,
My right is with the Lord, my hope remains.
What God has spoken He will do—
His purpose stands, His word is true.
Bridge
Kings will rise and bow in awe,
Princes stand before the law.
Not for fame, nor human praise—
But for the Lord of faithful ways.
The Holy One who never lies
Has chosen You before their eyes.
Verse 3
Thus says the Lord in time of grace:
“I heard your cry, I kept your place.
I’ll guard you still, a covenant sure,
To free the bound, to heal, restore.
Say to the captives, ‘Now be free,’
To those in dark, ‘Come out and see.’
I’ll guide them home by paths made clear,
No hunger, thirst, no crushing fear.”
Final Chorus
Zion cried, “The Lord forgot my name,”
But love like this will not grow faint.
Can mothers fail the child they bear?
Yet even then—I’m always there.
Your name is carved in My own hand,
Your walls before Me always stand.
Outro
A light for nations…
A love that won’t forget.
