A distant nation sends envoys, yet God declares that He alone controls the timing of judgment and deliverance. Human plans pause while God acts decisively in His time.

Christ fulfills God’s perfect timing, accomplishing redemption not by human strategy, but by divine purpose.

Isaiah 18 — “Wait for the Lord”

Verse 1

Woe to the land of whirring wings,

Beyond the rivers where Cush sings.

Swift messengers on waters glide,

Papyrus boats on rolling tide.

Tall and smooth, a feared-made race,

Measured land, a powerful place.

Hear the word sent far and wide—

The Lord has spoken, none can hide.

Chorus

All who dwell on earth, take heed,

When God lifts up His banner, see.

When trumpet sounds, be still and know:

The Lord alone decides the flow.

He watches, waits, His purpose sure,

His timing stands, His word secure.
