By Genesis 6, humanity has grown corrupt and violent, filling the earth with evil. God’s heart grieves over His creation, but Noah finds favor in His eyes. God commands Noah to build an ark—a refuge of salvation amid judgment. Through Noah’s obedience, God preserves a remnant of life. This chapter teaches that while sin breaks God’s heart, His mercy still seeks those who will walk with Him in righteousness. The ark becomes a symbol of grace, showing that deliverance from destruction comes only through faith and obedience to God’s word.
