God reaffirms His covenant, declaring, “I am the Lord,” and promising to redeem Israel with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgment. He reveals His personal name—Yahweh—as the God who keeps promises. Though the people are too broken to believe, God remains faithful. The genealogy of Moses and Aaron roots their mission in covenant lineage. This chapter teaches that God’s identity is inseparable from His faithfulness. When His people despair, He speaks hope again, reminding them that deliverance is certain because He is unchanging.
