After the people’s sin, God tells Moses to lead Israel onward but says He will not go with them because of their rebellion. Moses pleads, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” God graciously promises to remain with them. Moses asks to see God’s glory, and God reveals His goodness while shielding him from full view. This chapter teaches that God’s presence is life itself—success without Him is empty. Intimacy with God is the believer’s greatest treasure, and His grace makes continued fellowship possible.
