While tending sheep at Mount Horeb, Moses encounters the burning bush—fire that blazes but does not consume. God calls him by name and reveals His plan to deliver Israel from bondage. When Moses hesitates, God declares, “I AM WHO I AM,” revealing His eternal, self- existent nature. He commissions Moses to confront Pharaoh and lead His people out. This chapter teaches that God reveals Himself in holiness and calls ordinary people to extraordinary purposes. His presence, not human strength, is the power behind every calling.
