God commands that Aaron and his sons be set apart as priests. Their garments—crafted with gold, blue, purple, and scarlet—symbolize glory and beauty. The breastpiece bears twelve stones for Israel’s tribes, showing that the priest carries the people before God. The gold plate on Aaron’s forehead reads, “Holy to the Lord.” This chapter reveals that ministry is sacred and representative. Those who serve God do so clothed in His righteousness, not their own. It foreshadows Christ, our Great High Priest, who bears our names before the Father forever.
