Moses reunites with his father-in-law Jethro, who rejoices over God’s deliverance of Israel. Seeing Moses overwhelmed by leadership duties, Jethro advises him to appoint capable men as judges to share the burden. Moses listens and implements wise structure among the people. This chapter demonstrates the humility of godly leadership—the willingness to receive counsel and to delegate responsibility. It reminds us that spiritual work is sustained through shared wisdom, order, and community, not solitary effort.
