Pharaoh pursues Israel, trapping them between the sea and his army. Fear grips the people, but Moses declares, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” God parts the waters, allowing Israel to cross on dry ground, and then destroys Pharaoh’s forces as the sea returns. This chapter displays the pinnacle of divine deliverance—God’s power to make a way where none exists. It teaches that salvation is entirely God’s work and that faith often requires standing still long enough to witness His glory.
