The book concludes with a brief record of King Ahasuerus’s achievements and the exaltation of Mordecai, who becomes second in command. Mordecai uses his position for the good of his people, seeking peace and welfare throughout the empire. This short ending reminds readers that God often raises His servants to unexpected heights not for personal glory but for the blessing of others.
Christ-Foreshadowing: Mordecai’s rise to a position of authority and peace points to Christ, the exalted Savior who reigns at God’s right hand and intercedes for His people forever.
