Moses warns Israel not to forget God when they enter prosperity. He reminds them how God humbled them in the wilderness, fed them manna, tested their hearts, and taught them dependence. Pride is the danger that arises in abundance. This chapter teaches that remembrance keeps the heart humble and loyal to God.
Christ-Foreshadowing: Jesus quotes this chapter in resisting Satan, showing perfect trust in the Father: “Man shall not live on bread alone.”
