Moses restates the Ten Commandments for the new generation, reminding them that God made this covenant not only with their parents but also with them. He recalls their fear at Sinai and their request for Moses to speak on their behalf. The commandments reveal God’s character — His holiness, His justice, and His desire for a people who reflect His purity. This chapter teaches that the Law is a gift meant to shape the heart and the community.
Christ-Foreshadowing: Jesus fulfills the Law perfectly and writes its truth on the hearts of His people by the Holy Spirit.
