Moses ascends Mount Nebo, where God personally shows him the entire Promised Land. Though he cannot enter, God honors him with a peaceful death and buries him Himself. Israel mourns for thirty days, and Joshua is filled with the Spirit to lead. The chapter concludes that no prophet like Moses had arisen — until Christ. This chapter teaches that God’s care reaches from life into death and that His purposes continue beyond any one servant.
Christ-Foreshadowing: Jesus is the Prophet greater than Moses who brings His people into the eternal Promised Land.
