🌲 Chapter Anchor
Do not add to Christ what He has already finished.
📖 What Happens in This Chapter
Christ is fully God in bodily form. He forgives sin completely. He triumphs over spiritual powers. He makes believers complete — lacking nothing.
You do not need secret knowledge. You do not need extra rituals. You need Christ.
🌾 Why This Matters Today
Spiritual insecurity always tries to add something to Jesus. But fullness is already found in Him.
Colossians 2 — Complete in Him
📖 Song Lyrics
I strive for you though far away,
That hearts be strong and not led astray.
United deep in love’s embrace,
Assured in Christ, upheld by grace.
In Him are hidden, rich and wide,
All wisdom’s treasures none can hide.
So let no clever voice deceive,
With empty words that sound believed.
Pre-Chorus
Rooted deep and built up strong,
Established firm where you belong.
Chorus
For in Him all fullness dwells,
Not shadowed truth nor lesser wells.
Fully God in flesh He came —
And you are filled in His great name.
He canceled debt, erased the claim,
Nailed every charge of guilt and shame.
Disarmed the powers, crushed the lie —
Triumphant at the cross He died.
See to it none take you captive
Through hollow thought and man-made drift.
Traditions born of earthly frame
Cannot compare to Jesus’ name.
You were circumcised in heart,
A work no human hands could start.
Buried with Him in baptism’s sign,
Raised through faith by power divine.
Verse
Once dead in sin and hardened ways,
Now made alive through sovereign grace.
Forgiven fully, chains undone,
Victory sealed by God’s own Son.
So let no one now judge your plate,
Or holy day you celebrate.
Such things were shadows passing by —
The substance stands in Christ Most High.
Why bow to rules that seem so wise,
Yet feed the flesh in disguise?
False humility, harsh decree —
Have no power to set you free.
Bridge
You died with Christ to empty things,
Why live again in earthly rings?
The fullness found in Him alone
Needs no addition to be known.
Final Chorus
Complete in Him, stand firm and free,
No higher truth you need to see.
Not law, not mystic hidden claim —
But Christ, sufficient, still the same.
Rooted deep and lifted high —
Secure in Him who cannot die.
