Genesis 27 reveals the painful cost of deception. As Isaac grows old and blind, Rebekah helps Jacob disguise himself to receive the blessing intended for Esau. The deceit succeeds, but the family is torn apart as Esau vows revenge and Jacob flees for his life. Though God’s prophecy of Jacob’s chosen role is fulfilled, it comes through human manipulation and strife. The chapter shows that God’s plans prevail even through human weakness, but deceit leaves wounds that take years to heal. It teaches that faith must rest in God’s timing rather than schemes of our own making.
