3 John 1 — “Walk in the Truth”
Genre: Gentle acoustic / storytelling worship
Vibe: Personal, steady, encouraging
Verse 1
To my beloved friend, Gaius,
Whom I love in truth sincere—
I pray your soul is prospering
As your body perseveres.
I rejoiced when brothers told me
How you walk the narrow way,
Faithful to the truth you heard
And living it each day.
Chorus
There is no greater joy than this—
To see my children stand in truth.
Not drifting with the shifting winds,
But rooted deep in You.
Walk in truth, walk in light,
Let love and faith unite.
Faithful in the unseen place—
Reflecting Christ in grace.
Verse 2
You have shown true hospitality
To strangers in His name,
Supporting those who preach the Word
Without seeking earthly gain.
They went out for the Name alone,
Trusting God to provide—
And you became a fellow worker
Standing at their side.
Verse 3
But pride has risen in another,
Loving to be first—
Diotrephes rejects the truth
And quenches gospel thirst.
He speaks with empty accusation,
Refuses what is right—
Turning servants from the door,
Blocking heaven’s light.
Bridge
Beloved, do not imitate
What is evil in disguise.
Whoever does what’s good is born
Of God before His eyes.
Demetrius is well spoken of,
His life confirms the Word—
Truth itself bears witness clear
In what is seen and heard.
Final Chorus
There is no greater joy than this—
To see the faithful stand.
Serving Christ with humble hearts,
Obeying His command.
Walk in truth, remain in love,
Serve the risen Son.
Quiet faithfulness will shine
Long after pride is gone.
