In the last days trouble will rise,

Not always marked by outward cries.

Lovers of self and lovers of gain,

Proud and cruel in religion’s name.

Holding form but denying power,

Truth abandoned for darker hour.

Always learning, never arrive —

Dead inside but looking alive.

But you — continue in what you’ve known,

The sacred truth that shaped your home.

All Scripture breathed from God above,

Teaching truth and correcting love.

Training hearts in righteousness,

They creep inside with twisted speech,

Capturing minds they long to reach.

Opposing truth like Jannes stood,

Resisting Moses though he was good.

Their folly seen in time revealed,

False foundations cannot be sealed.

But you have seen my way of life,

My patient hope in joy and strife.

Through persecution, trial, and pain —

The Lord delivered once again.

All who desire to live in Christ

Will face resistance in this life.

Evil deceives and grows more bold,

But truth remains what prophets told.

From childhood you have known the scrolls,

Wise for salvation of weary souls.
