When Moab rebels, the kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom unite but run out of water in the wilderness. Elisha, after rebuking Israel’s king, prophesies that God will fill the valley with water without wind or rain and will deliver Moab into their hands. The next morning water appears miraculously, and the Moabites, misreading it as blood, rush into defeat. Judgment begins, but Moab resists fiercely. The chapter demonstrates God’s ability to provide in hopeless conditions.
Christ-Foreshadowing: The miraculous water in a dry valley points to Christ, who gives living water and brings victory when human resources fail.
