Jehoshaphat unwisely allies himself with Ahab of Israel in battle. Micaiah, a true prophet, predicts disaster, but Ahab ignores the warning and is killed exactly as God foretold. Jehoshaphat narrowly escapes judgment because of God’s grace. The chapter warns against compromising alliances.
Christ-Foreshadowing: Micaiah’s faithful witness despite opposition points to Christ, who speaks truth even when rejected by leaders.
