The prophet Azariah encourages Asa to seek the Lord wholeheartedly. Asa responds by renewing reforms, removing idols, repairing the altar, and leading the nation in a covenant to seek God. Judah rejoices, and God gives them rest. Even Asa removes his own mother from her corrupt position.
Christ-Foreshadowing: The wholehearted covenant points to Christ, who establishes a new covenant and calls His people to wholehearted devotion.
