In Israel, Nadab and then Baasha perpetuate the sins of Jeroboam, and judgment is prophesied against Baasha’s house as well. The narrative can feel like a swirl of names, but the steady theme is clear: earthly kings rise and fall, some faithful, many not, yet God’s covenant purposes march forward. This continuity points to Christ, the ultimate King from David’s line, who will not fail in partial obedience but will fully keep the Father’s will, becoming the anchor of hope in a world of unstable leaders.
