David leads a joyful offering for the temple’s construction, giving generously from his own wealth. The leaders and people willingly give as well. David prays a powerful prayer praising God’s greatness and sovereignty. Solomon is formally made king, and the nation celebrates with unity. David dies at a good age, having completed his God-given purpose.
Christ-Foreshadowing: David’s final act of generosity points toward Christ, who generously gives His life to build God’s eternal kingdom and reigns as the greater Son of David.
