After the ark is brought to Jerusalem, David appoints Levites to minister before it continually. He leads Israel in a great song of thanksgiving, praising God for His covenant faithfulness, His sovereignty over the nations, and His enduring love. Offerings and worship are restored to proper order, and David appoints leaders for music, thanksgiving, and daily ministry before the ark. This chapter highlights worship as central to Israel’s life.
Christ-Foreshadowing: David’s thanksgiving psalm anticipates Christ, who brings God’s presence to His people and leads them into continual praise.
